Trainee Mortgage Broker (Advisor) – Office based / in person (Norwich).

Job role
Trainee Mortgage Advisers will work with our experienced Mortgage Advisers and complete a number of non-advising tasks
While you are not authorised to give advice to clients until you are qualified, you are permitted to provide generic information about mortgage products and the house buying process.

Role Overview, until qualified:
- Progress new mortgage applications using pre-defined standards and service level agreements
- Proactive case progression and customer service communication by telephone, email, and letter to all involved in the mortgage progress
- Ensure a high accuracy level for data entry and ongoing record keeping
- Ensure workload is actioned within set SLA, whilst recording case progression
- Review and validate mortgage supporting documentation
- Remortgages - reconnecting with old clients, updating files with current information

Training
Where a person is new to the role with no prior experience, a training plan is in place to provide ongoing assessment on the individuals competency. This will be used to build towards taking on the full and qualified responsibilities of the role.

Working hours
• Mon to Thurs: Working hours 08.30 to 17.30
• Friday: Working hours 09.00 to 17.00

We pride ourselves in the relationships we build with our clients, many of whom return on a regular basis, either building their portfolio, or securing a new deal as their existing mortgage rate comes to an end.

Due to business expansion and our growth forecast targets for this year, we need both trainee mortgage brokers and qualified and experienced Mortgage Brokers, to join our team. Vincent Burch Mortgage Services are a directly authorised Mortgage Advice Company, who do not typically charge a Broker Fee, and we do not work from a narrow panel of lenders.

We don’t ask you to cold call or take an upfront broker fee payment. The fact is we do not typically charge any broker fees. This helps with converting business. In addition to not charging a fee, our mortgage brokers work from leads generated by us, we do not buy in leads, this further increases conversion.

You must have 2 years proven track record in providing Mortgage Advice.

You will be supported with the latest technology, systems and by a team of Case Managers. When you pass CAS and are hitting targets, you can also be supported by your very own team of Application Support Officers (ASO). Our Advisers who benefit from the ASO, are expected to personally bank in excess of £100k PAYE per year. Which, for the right person and sharing the administration work allows the Advisers to concentrate their efforts on giving Mortgage Advice, which is where their efforts are best served.

This is a full time position, based in our modern elevated office in Norwich City Centre, NR1. The role is predominantly telephone based, but you will meet some clients in person. We are an established Mortgage Advice firm and have proven figures, not fantasy forecasts. Due to business expansion and our forecast targets for this year, we require a number of experienced Mortgage Advisers to join our team.

Salary/Benefits - Hard work, you can expect to earn excess of £100k each year. And, with our additional admin support to help processing applications, there’s no limit to your earnings. After a successful 6 months probation period;

Year 1 –we would expect you achieve in excess of £60k net

Year 2 – by the end of your second year, you should be exceeding £70k net

Year 3 – by the end of your third year, you should be netting £100k+

We are a directly authorised Mortgage Advice Company, who do not typically charge a Broker Fee, and we do not work from a panel of lenders. So if you are an Experienced Adviser who understands exactly what that means for your clients, (providing ‘Mortgage Advice’ and ‘not selling a fee’), then those are the 2 most important fundamental factors you can offer to your clients. Secondly, you must be offering the upmost best service wherever you can, which is what you can expect from a firm with those fundamental principles.

Working hours - Our weekdays 8 hour shifts are from 08:30am to 17:30pm Monday to Thursday & 9-5 on Fridays. Or, 11-8pm on a late shift, and you would complete at least 1 late shift each week on an agreed day. We do not work weekends!
